Golf 

The Portland Metropolitan area has numerous golf courses including two of Golf Digest's top seventy five public courses. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Heron Lakes Golf course. According to Golf Digest, Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek was rated as the best new public golf course in 1992 and ranked 13th in Golf Magazine's top 100 places to play in the United States.
